I used the storefront theme and it turned out the problem was that i had picked Boldgrid – Full Width. When I use normal Full width, it does not appear anymore.
Anonymous UserMemberHello
Thank you for the answer, but it is not like that for me. I normally use Chrome, and when I check on both Explorer and Firefox it still appears, the same with my phone where i’m not logged in either. My icon does not look like yours, mine is orange. I don’t know if that changes anything.
(my website is mercrea.com)
Anonymous UserMemberThank you so much for your prompt response. I have done all I can but it still persists. There are no error messages, warning or report generated in any of the sites. i am basically using boldgrid blugnins except for loginizer and google analytics. However, on the pastorfaith.com.ng, the comment section appeared on the back end and not on the front or display page, as a result, I can only add a comment on the edit page to my site after saving changes and publishing it. please, kindly assist.
Bonaventure.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks a lot, John

Anonymous UserMemberHi Carlos,
Further to this… the effect I described does not happen when I view in the tablet or phone layout, so if I modify the image to work with the computer screen view then it will look odd in the other views.
I would very much like to find a solution to this. I feel that there is an obvious glitch with either the theme code or paralax setting code. Please help to resolve this so I can use this great effect that is not working.
November 21, 2017 at 6:29 pm in reply to: How can I make blocks centre align in a wide browser window? #23425Anonymous UserMemberThanks for your prompt reply. I have already tried this without success. I am using the Wedge theme. I am using a block like ‘Client Testimonials’ which contains a number of columns. In these circumstances, I can’t find a column that represents the whole block so I have used the 3-bar menu that appears below the block. I take this to be a control for the whole block. Selecting ‘left’, ‘right’ or ‘center’ has no effect. The block always aligns left. I have tried setting the width to less than 100% but that does not help either.
Anonymous UserMemberThank you John-Paul. Good idea. Where do I then find the debug log?
Anonymous UserMemberHi Carlos, thanks for the help.
When I enter the code in the custom CSS editor it works perfectly. I can adjust the image by changing the values and it instantly shows the effect in the preview screen. However, as soon as I set the image to Paralax the code has no effect on the image. It is always cropped exactly the same amount. I have tried changing the location of the background-paralax text in the text window but unless it is inside of the quotation marks with boldgrid-section then the paralax effect will not work. This makes me think that something with the paralax command is overriding the image setting and may be a problem with the source code for the paralax command. This is beyond me as I don’t know code and don’t have access to the boldgrid source code.
This is obviously very disappointing as I would like to have multiple pages with background images that are set to paralax. I also don’t want to give up this theme if it is a theme specific issue as I worked very hard to create this site using this theme. Please help and let me know if there is any other way to fix this.
Anonymous UserMemberYes, the code is not in the Customizer > Advanced > CSS Editor. I believe it is something in the theme coding. I tried adding a new page in Staging and then without doing anything else I created a section and added an image to the background. With scroll effects set to “none” there is no problem. But as soon as i select paralax the image crops as mentioned before.
I am using WordPress 4.8.3 running Monument theme.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks you for your prompt reply, John-Paul. I did read that, however, it didn’t address the fact that in my other wordpress sites I have the ability to add a wide variety of widgets as well as upload and install third party widgets as well.
I want people to signup to the RSS feed and sign-up to receive an email when a new post is posted. There are several other WP Widgets including one from my adserver folks I would like to add.
How can I add and access the other wordpress and third party widgets available out there?
Anonymous UserMemberSorry Kyle,
I should have mentioned… It’s not just this page on my site. For any page when I use an image as a section background and set it to paralax it does this.
Anonymous UserMemberHi Kyle,
I’m running the Monument theme. I’m not great with CSS but I can tell you that the background position is not defined like that within the text of that page. I have looked in the Style.css file and can’t find that line of code either. Can you tell me where I can look to find it or just how to fix it?
Thanks
Anonymous UserMemberHi John-Paul,
Thank you for the reply. I already had all the attributions checked to ‘hide’ from the footer. They are not displaying on my footer. Is that what you were referring to?
What I’m trying to figure out is how to get rid of these pages from the site:
https://nationwideunitedautotransport.com/attribution/
https://nationwideunitedautotransport.com/attribution-staging/
for some reason Google found these pages from crawling our site and is indexing them. I’m also having errors with these pages on Google Search Console so I would like to get rid of them from the site.
Anonymous UserMemberGreat. Thanks so much!
October 29, 2017 at 2:39 pm in reply to: How do I add drop-down menus to one of the main menu items? #23503Anonymous UserMemberI finally got it to work!!!! Yipeeee!!
October 29, 2017 at 2:23 pm in reply to: How do I add drop-down menus to one of the main menu items? #23504Anonymous UserMemberYes I did this, but the add items are showing as new main menu items rather than in the drop down under the main menu I want it under. When I go to customize, the drop downs are under the main menu, but the website is not adjusting. Thx
October 27, 2017 at 9:59 am in reply to: I am getting a Parse error at line 51 trying to activate the Boldgrid plug in #23498Anonymous UserMemberHow should I know what version of PHP and how can I update it? I downloaded inspiration.zip 4 times same result every time. How can I install Boldgrid without going through Word press? I have tried uploading it and using the integral version on Softaculous installed WordPress.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks so much for the tip!
Anonymous UserMemberI hate the home page regardless of theme. I have spent 12 hours messing with it.
I found pages in text editor which lists home page/starter page whatever they call it. Forget it, I am deleting it, and starting a new page where I can do what I want a lot easier and faster.
Anonymous UserMemberChristopher:
Thanks for replying to my question! What I want to achieve is to create different pages that display relevant articles in a grid layout. So, on the menu would be an item, “Advocate.” The user clicks on that item and is taken to a page displaying only articles that have been tagged with the category Advocate. WordPress already does something like this, but the layout is quite ugly (in my opinion), and it utilizes the standard list layout.

October 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm in reply to: How can I have a page with a search widget, but not in the header? #23582Anonymous UserMemberThat would be nice. Thanks for taking the time to explain a solution. I am a web developer so its possible, but its not a high priority for me. As a workaround, I added the search to the footer as real estate down there is cheap.
Anonymous UserMemberSort of, I noticed you chose to remove the map and reinstalled it. The problem I was having was when I wanted to move it from the left to the right, sort of like you did with the picture in reverse. The space was there, but it would not move and created a duplicate map right below instead. Also after the attempt the orange and blue boxes disappeared and I couldn’t move anything. I would reload and start over, but every time I added the map it would be on the left and not the right like I wanted. Also this was yesterday, today the orange and blue boxes are gone all together and I don’t know how to get them back.
Anonymous UserMemberHmm. It is still not working…
Anonymous UserMemberActually, it just started happening on all my browsers today and clearing the cache hasn’t fixed it. It’s very odd!Anonymous UserMemberThat did it. I should have thought about that myself, sorry about that. Thank you for helping me!
October 12, 2017 at 8:27 pm in reply to: How can I have a page with a search widget, but not in the header? #23584Anonymous UserMemberI created an empty page called search. Then I went to Customize->Widgets. It looks like I can select header or footer. I want the widget to be in the middle of the search page and I don’t want the search box on all of the pages, only the search page.
Anonymous UserMemberWell, I created a BoldGrid account to submit a ticket for this exact same problem, but am caught in an endless loop of support center -> log in (new window) -> support center (new window) -> log in (new window) and so forth….

FAILOctober 6, 2017 at 4:32 pm in reply to: How to remove Meta section in sidebar of Posts and Posts Page? #23606Anonymous UserMemberHello Arnel,
Thank you very much for your reply. I’m reading the article you suggested and will make note of the instructions for removing that Meta section from my Posts and Posts Page. However, while waiting for an answer to my question, I looked around some more within the “Customizer” page, and found the solution on my own – and yes, it’s possible to remove the Meta section – the key was the fact that this is a Widget, and the reason I didn’t see this before was because I didn’t have the correct page in the preview panel while trying to customize the site!
So here’s how to do it (on the Wedge theme I’d setup, using Inspirations):
1. From your Dashboard, click on Customize, then select Active Site.
2. Under the Boldgrid menu on the left side, click Widgets.
3. Now Widgets will let you customize Widget Areas on your page. Those Widget Areas, however, are different depending on the page you have displayed in the preview panel on the right side. So in order to customize the Widgets on my Posts Page (which in my case was titled “Info”), I have to bring that page up in the preview panel. At that point the Customizer panel showed me that I can customize “Above Site Title”, “Footer Center”, and “Sidebar #1”. That’s what I needed! Once I click on Sidebar #1, I can then remove and add all kinds of widgets, including the “Meta” one. Problem solved. 🙂
I then wanted to do something else, which is to remove Author name and Date from my Posts everywhere on the site, including the Posts Page. That I could not find how to do anywhere within the Customizer sections. I eventually had to go to the Advanced area and modify the CSS code with the two lines below, which I found on this page here:
.entry-meta .byline, .entry-meta .cat-links {
display
:
none
; }
.entry-meta .posted-on {
display
:
none
; }
That’s it. I can now post Articles, which I intend to keep “evergreen” on my pages, and not show dates or author name, and the articles and the page on which they are listed won’t show the Meta section either.
Hopefully all this will help someone else in the future.
Thank you very much for your help, time for me to get back to working on the site. 🙂

October 4, 2017 at 6:58 pm in reply to: My website looks fine on my macbook, my phone, and tablet, but horrible on my wider screen desktop PC. Is this fixable? #23631Anonymous UserMemberSomehow, without my having made any changes, today when I went to look at my site on my work desktop it now looks good. I don’t know why it looked messed up for over a week and then suddenly looks better now, but it does, so everything is ok now. Thank you for your responsiveness.
October 2, 2017 at 8:29 pm in reply to: My website looks fine on my macbook, my phone, and tablet, but horrible on my wider screen desktop PC. Is this fixable? #23632Anonymous UserMemberIt is a Dell U2412M 24in diagonal monitor (20 by 12.5in width and height). Resolution 1920 x 1200. Please let me know if it is fixable.
Anonymous UserMemberMaybe what the issue was for the person asking is the same as mine. The problem is that when I click the button “Add GridBlock,” a pop-up says,
“Add GridBlock requires that BoldGrid Editing be enabled on this page. You can enable it by clicking the move icon on your editor toolbar.”
We are wondering where this “move icon” is or what it looks like.
Anonymous UserMemberI’m having the same problem with magnification of the background image in the Vacation theme. While I’m working in the Customizer on the dashboard, and toggle between device views, it looks fine, but when I use my smart phone or tablet to view, it doesn’t work and the photo is magnified. mymoolelo.com

September 30, 2017 at 2:22 pm in reply to: Why is my Background image and Call to Action box not appearing correctly? #23662Anonymous UserMemberHi Carlos,
Thank you for your reply. I added the code to the CSS Editor as directed, but still the problem exists on the desktop view, where the Call to Action widget on the landing page is right-justified, not centered. ( I previously said left-justified in my original comment, sorry.)
Also, I changed the size of the logo, adjusted the margins with the slider, but the white space between the bottom of the logo and the menu bar is still too tall.
As far as the background image, it definitely doesn’t seem to scale to fit on mobile devices, as you can’t tell that its a “bottle with a message” as you can see on the desktop view.
Any assistance is welcome!

Anonymous UserMemberMatthew here.
I am using the latest version of the Chrome browser. The WordPress (4.8.2), plugins, and themes are all up to date and are not showing that they need to be updated.I attempted using IE and there seems to be more issues than with Chrome. In IE, when going to add new page and/or add new blog post, it isn’t allowing me to click or type any content into the ‘white box’. I can enter a title if I want but not anything into the body. When clicking ‘Add Gridblock’ it does nothing, same thing with ‘Add Contact Form’. I have logged out and back into my site to make sure this wasn’t the issue.
In Chrome, unlike in IE, I can type in content into the body of the new page or the blog post. When adding ‘gridblocks’ it doesn’t show up in the main body, rather it shows up in the AMP editor so I end up having to cut/paste the html into the body of the main deal. While in the ‘Add Gridblock’ it doesn’t add it to the left side of the screen in ‘real time’, instead I have to click the ‘X’ and the top right and then view what I have added in the AMP editor… It reminds me of logging into SSH where you don’t see your password that you’re typing. Upon disabling the ‘Accelerated Mobile Pages’ plugin (I know this does not belong to you but may be worth looking into) the theme is now working perfectly.
So in short, the problem is with BoldGrid and Accelerated Mobile Pages being enabled together… Don’t know how to fix this but as stated above, it may be worth looking into?
