Hello Nikolay,
Thanks for providing the code that you used. It would be easier if you removed that and used the code that I linked you to previously. In fact, you don’t have to load Bootstrap, as it’s already loaded with the WordPress installation once BoldGrid is loaded. You only need to use the code that they provide. You can see the accordion code provided here. I tested it myself (using the example they provided) and it definitely works. You have to paste their code in the TEXT editor in between the divs that are on the page. If you want to see it working, check out my WordPress test post here. This example is the exact code provided in the bootstrap link that I provided above.
I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Arnel CMemberHello,
Apologies for the issues with the Widget not appearing to work. I checked this and the theme that you’re using. Widgets can only be added to widget areas. Since the Events Calendar plugin appears to be generating the page, it most likely is generating a page not recognized by BoldGrid and therefore not getting the code for the widget area – which is the reason you can’t add the widget. If you can provide access and links so that we can look at your site, then we can investigate it further. This would allow us to see if it’s possible to get the widget loaded properly. You could also tell us the exact plugins you’re using so that we can test the issue. Apologies again for the problem, and for the delay in my answer.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Nikolay,
Sorry for the problem with the accordion section. Can you provide us a little more information about how you have added the code? We would need access to your site in order to access look at this issue. If you’re using Bootstrap code, then it’s possible that the issue has to do with version. You can actually load Bootstrap with your WordPress site found here. You can also find the latest version of the accordion code in the Javascript section. If you have the latest version of Bootstrap loaded and you’re using their code, then the accordion code should work. I have used it before myself, so I understand the issue you’re running into. Make sure there are no typo’s in your code as it will also cause the code not to work.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHi Lane,
Sorry for the problem with the Reading Settings not showing under “Reading”. In researching the issue I found that the developers had renamed the setting as “Blog” – so it’s not really missing. You can also revert WordPress back to its original interface by following the instructions in this article. Apologies again for the confusion – I am aware that you asked this earlier in the InMotion Support Center, but we were not aware of the issue until you specified that you had turned off the Inspirations plugin to resume normal WordPress behavior. Thanks for your patience!
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
Arnel CMemberApologies Jarle, but we do not have an ETA on the next release.
Arnel CMemberHello Jarle,
Sorry for the problem with the 3-level menus in BoldGrid. I talked with a developer about the problem because you can clearly create them in the Customizer (or Dashboard), but they do not display. The developer said that this issue is being resolved in the next major release of BoldGrid (version 1.5). So at present, we cannot provide 3 level menus using the BoldGrid functionality.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.Arnel CMemberSorry for the problem with the phone number. If you can provide a link so that we can see it, then we can look into the issue in more depth. You should be able to make changes with custom HTML with the footer. Making any changes beyond that would require identifying the associated CSS and then making changes to the CSS.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Dsands,
In order to make changes to the color of the form fields you would need to extend the Ninja Form installation by getting the Layout and styles addon. You would then be able to make the changes to the field colors.
Here’s a link to the information on Ninja Forms Layout and Styles.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Mjdoyle475,
Sorry for the issue with the Call to Action. Do you have a large Site Title? It’s possible that the site title font is simply pushing the call to action down the page so that it’s not visible. If you can provide us a URL we can take a quick look. Remember that you can click on Custom Font for the Site Title and change the size of the font (or change the font) using the Customize option.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberSorry for the issue with the blog page menu. You’re dealing with custom coding which we typically do not provide. In the previous issue, there was a unique identifier for the menu on the page. This allowed for that code to hide the menu with no problem. However, the way that WordPress builds the menu on this page, there is no unique identifier. There is only the generic site menu identifier. If you remove it, then you remove it from the entire website. The first option that you asked for was easy to provide, but in this case, custom coding is required and the previous solution will not work. My suggestion is that you consult with a developer or use a plugin that can hide menus within WordPress. Please be aware that any custom coding solution requires testing and you should be aware that updates to the theme may remove custom code. So you may need to re-apply custom code after updates. To avoid having to do that, if you are making CSS changes, I highly recommend using the Advanced option for CSS and JSS updates (https://www.boldgrid.com/support/using-the-customizer/advanced-customizer-options/). Changes made in this interface for CSS/JS will not be removed by updates to BoldGrid.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Howard57bg,
Thanks for your question. I’ve been told that there is a plan for it, but not a definite date. The update should occur later in the year. Apologies that I can’t give you a definite date for that upgrade.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello – when I go to “benevolentbookkeeping.com/main” I see nothing there. We would need to be able to login to your site to specifically find that post you’re referring to. However, to make this easier, you may want to look some menu plugins. For example, check out If Menu. There are a bunch of plugins that will do this for you. Making changes with code is possible, but if the problem is most likely better resolved with a plugin.

Arnel CMemberHello Benevo7_wp,
In order for us to help you, go to the page where you’re having issues, and provide us the URL where you’re having the problem. That is the link that we need in order to research the issue for you. We can’t provide that information for you.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Anthony,
Sorry for the problem with the BoldGrid Connect option. Please provide the exact steps to get to the problem as we are unable to duplicate the problem. If you can provide the exact duplication steps then we can look into the issue in more depth and see what’s happening. At this point, I’m able to access the BoldGrid Connect option without any issues. Remember that if you’re using BoldGrid on a WordPress installation without Internet access, then BoldGrid connect will not work.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello rineh5bg,
Sorry for the h2 not appearing to change. Make sure to clear your browser cache as it is possible that the old setting was cached in your browser. Also, there was no attached file. If you’re continuing to have problems, try adding a link to a screenshot to make sure it gets to us through this post.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel CMemberHello Art,
There is no built-in functionality to take an active site and make it into a staging site. What you can do is load the same theme/inspiration, then for all pages/posts, go into the text editor, copy all of the entries in the page/post, and then paste them into the corresponding page in the staging version of the theme/inspiration. You would have to do this for every page and post in order to copy it over. That would be the easiest way to accomplish what you’re trying to do.
I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.
Regards,
Arnel C.
Arnel CMemberHello Mark,
Sorry for the issues with the bullets that you’re trying to add. The best way to make format adjustments when you have no control over the visual editing, is to use the text editor and use code. For example, with your bullets, use HTML inline code. If you can provide a URL for the issue we may be able to look at it in more depth.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberThere are many different ways that you can setup the menus – and yes you can have a submenu under a submenu. Here’s the guide on using our menus.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Walt,
I checked the functionality and it’s still pretty much the same. The main change (I believe this is a WordPress change), is that the menu doesn’t open up when you hover. You can still drag and drop menu items into position, though. Let us know if you’re still confused over the issue, or if you require help in modifying the menu.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Personally, I like working in desktop publishing as well, since you have full control over the formatting. I used Adobe Indesign for many years. In web publishing, you may be restricted to the limits of a theme or you have to use CSS coding or inline coding in order to make adjustments for formatting. I’m not sure how you’re viewing the page, so I’ll share my desktop with you to see if it’s what you’re seeing or not. I am running WordPress on my MacBook Pro 15″ laptop with a resolution of 1440×900. Here’s the link to the desktop:
Monument theme from my Mac laptop
Please compare and let me know if you’re seeing the theme as you think it should be seen. Can you provide a desktop capture in return so we have an idea of what you are seeing?
Apologies for the frustrations that you’re having getting this right.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
Arnel CMemberHello Absoluteze,
The centering of the text in your title will depend on a theme that you are using. If you are using a BoldGrid inspiration where the title is designated to be on the side then you will not be able to force it.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Hcope,
Thanks for your question in regards to changing your site’s CSS to accommodate your goal of managing two different blogs on one WordPress installation. Normally, when a user needs more than the normal functionality of BoldGrid and WordPress, then some type of modification is required in order to meet the scope of the user’s needs. This can be done through CSS or by changing code within WordPress. Making any changes to the BoldGrid plugin can also be done using CSS or Javascript, but programming changes are beyond the scope of support.
This not to say that what you are asking is impossible, it is possible with CSS changes, but the problem is that it would require some changes to the code for which we cannot provide support. You may want to consult with a knowledgeable web developer to have this done. It will require making custom changes to CSS. In order to have separate CSS formatting for one blog over another in the same installation, then you will need to create separate CSS entries for each. You can refer to the WordPress Codex documentation on CSS for more information.
You also have the option of running 2 different WordPress installations or simply using the system that WordPress provides without using different CSS formatting for each blog you wish to support.
Our apologies that we do not have a direct answer to help you.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Julie,
You can use the same HTML code in WordPress as you use in any HTML site. It’s just a little different because the theme provides areas for where you can add images. The formatting of the theme gives you a pre-made model as to where elements may be placed in WordPress. To see an image being placed in code, first use the Media library to insert an image into a section of your article. After that, click on the tab in the top right corner of the editor window where it says TEXT. There you can see the code that has been added for the image. For a step-by-step guide on adding images in BoldGrid, check out this tutorial.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Real,
You may not be seeing the left side bar due to the size of your window. The theme is responsive and will change depending on the size the window displaying it.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Tsteele@mrds .org,
You can also check the menus in the Administrator interface. It may be better organized there for you. When you are in the Customizer screen, go to the bottom left and select edit in Admin. That should give you all of the Menu options.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Sorry for the problem with accessing your WordPress dashboard. I would recommend that you turn off any plugins, remove caching and reset your .htaccess file to get access to your WordPress installation. We would need more information and access in order to troubleshoot the issue. You may need to speak with your host’s tech support for help in troubleshooting your WordPress site.
I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know!

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Frank,
Sorry for the problem with aligning the images in the 5 columns. I would suggest creating a custom GridBlock for this purpose. Please see How To Add and Reuse Custom GridBlocks. Choose or create a custom gridblock that meets your needs, re-add your images and then it should hopefully be aligned to your needs. The themes in BoldGrid use the Bootstrap grid system that is most likely affecting your image alignment.
I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know!

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Rickswanson,
Thanks for your question about the WordPress account requirement to run BoldGrid. As long as you have a valid hosting subscription you can load BoldGrid – a plugin for WordPress. The WordPress installation is not a subscription and does not require purchase. WordPress is free! Your first step is to run the WordPress installation. Depending on your hosting service, you may have the option to have it installed for you, or there might be an installation software that can make the installation much easier. After that, you can reference the BoldGrid Support article, How to Install BoldGrid.
I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know!

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Rob,
The issue looks to be related to the path of your link. It as both the temporary URL and what appears to be the actual URL for the site. If you fix the URL then the image will most likely appear.
I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know!

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Philip,
Sorry for the problem with the menu.
Why does the primary menu appear horizontally in the child theme but not on the main theme? What do I need to adjust this?
I’m not 100% sure what you did to get the menu like this. I would recommend rebuilding the menu using the menu option in Customize. When I add menus there, they are always vertical in that theme.
If you are unable to to use the customize feature fore any of the requests below, then you will need to customize it via CSS or by adjusting the the theme code. I found a post here via online search where they discuss possible solutions. Keep in mind that, as in most custom issues, you will have to test and work your way through issues since we do not provide coding solutions for customization requests.
- Adjust the left margin or padding of the primary menu so it appears underneath the site logo
- Change the background of the menu and the email/phone box to white
- Place the email/phone info under the Flickr and LinkedIn icons (which is where I’d like to have this info)
- Make the large square image as well as the special thanks link on the front page fit within the browser window and not spill over at the bottom.
Apologies that we do not have direct solutions for your customization requests.

You can actually get Google search for a single website – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-google-search/ . We would also recommend using Google’s Analytics plugin as they are some most mature analytics programs for free: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp/.

Thanks for your question about moving your WordPress site and then working on the site “offline” before going online.
First, if you’re moving WordPress from one hosting server to another, the main things to transfer are the contents and the database. You can re-install most everything else as needed. It’s just a matter of re-configuring the wp-config file to use your database. I recommend a fresh install over re-installing everything from an old server. However, you can migrate it in that fashion as well.
Editing a site offline requires that you have a web server and database server in order to run WordPress. If you are working “offline” then you need them before you can use the WordPress functionality. If you’re working on nothing but content that you can paste into the WordPress site, then it should be no problem to work offline.
Typically, it’s no issue to have two WordPress sites loaded on the same server. If you don’t want people to get into the site, load up a Maintenance mode plugin and it can prevent access to the rest of the site until you’re ready to publish. Additionally, these plugins can provide information for when your site would be ready to go.
I hope this helps to answer your questions!
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Modules_Guru,
Thanks for the question in regards to uploading HTML using BoldGrid. BoldGrid works within WordPress, so if you’re uploading HTML it should not be a problem as long you’re working within the constraints of the theme. Like any WordPress theme, each page or post may come with a pre-defined format where you can add content. If you’re adding content within that framework, then it should be no issue. However, if you have a table or other structure in HTML that you’re trying upload and it doesn’t fit within the theme, then you may encounter issues and have the need to adjust the code or content. When you’re uploading
Also, you won’t be uploading the code, you would be copying and pasting. When you’re adding the HTML code for your content, you simply need to be in the editor using the TEXT option (in the top right corner of the editor), to paste in your HTML code.
I hope that clarifies the issue.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Wakey1,
I was reviewing your problem from the first post. I also tried this on my own Mac using Firefox (MacOS-Sierra 10.12.2 (16C67)) and it worked with no issues. So, I don’t think it’s related to the type system or browser you’re using. Can you provide your domain name, First and Last name, and email address you used for the form? It would help us to identify you in the email logs and see if there was a problem sending you the key. Please provide us this information and we can determine what’s happening, then also provide you a key directly if it’s needed.
My apologies for the frustration!
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

The Revisions option is native to WordPress and is visible with or without BoldGrid. In order to see the option for Revisions, you would need to have published and then updated your page (in a post, Revisions will appear after an edit).
I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know!

Arnel C.Arnel CMemberHello Rberkness,
Thanks for your question about adding Google Tag Manager into your site. Your concern about it getting overwritten is well-founded, as an update of the theme will remove the entries. I think the easiest way to get the code into your theme is to go into the WordPress Administrator, then click on Customize >CSS/HTML Editor. You can select the head.php template file here and edit it. There’s nothing that openly states “<body>” tag, so you will need to determine where to put the other entry. It will likely be one of the content pages. I’ve tried looking up installation suggestions but nothing on where to install it in this type of theme. You may need to contact the GTM developers for advice on how to install it into a WordPress theme using Bootstrap style theme.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
