    Hi Yort,

Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress questions.

I’m thinking the issue here is likely theme compatibility. The Neux premium theme you’re running on your http://www.eyeamthecollective.com/ website is likely incompatible with Post and Page Builder and has no reference for integration.

In this case it would be my recommendation to switch to a BoldGrid Framework based theme such as our flagship Crio Pro Super theme which is 100% compatible or contact your theme provider for a list of comparable page builders for that specific theme.

    I hope this helps Yort!

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks a lot for reaching out although I’m sorry to hear you’re having a bit of trouble.

This error is likely tied to your BoldGrid Connect Key provided to you by DreamHost. The first thing you want to do is make sure your WordPress core application and Crio Pro WordPress theme are both up to up to date.

Then check your DreamHost dashboard and locate your BoldGrid Connect Keys. DreamHost Support can help you find your connect keys if you have trouble.

I hope this helps Matthew. Please let us know if you have any other questions for us.

    Hi Mansoor,

You’ll need to go into your file management system on your server and change the permissions of the folder you want to copy your backup to so that it can be writable.

    Hi Sixto!

Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder questions.

The issue here is JetForms doesn’t have an integration for Post and Page Builder. So unlike say, WeForms or WpForms there’s no block component and since they use custom fields instead of short code to pull in their form you’ll need to switch to the WordPress Block editor to modify your form.

You can access the block editor by clicking the Post and Page builder tab towards the top of your editor:

    switch to classic editor

After switching to the WordPress Editor you should see the custom fields for your JetForm. I hope this helps Sixto! Please let us know if you have any other questions for us!

    Hi Aniya,

So sorry for the delay. We thank you for reaching out with your Total Upkeep questions!

This error is likely related to file permissions on your server. Normally when you see this it means your System Administrator disabled write permissions on the root of your website, and only allows the user to write to the wp-content directory rather than the core WordPress files.

It might help for us to view your restoration log. Navigate to Total Upkeep > Tools > Logs and locate the log file called restore-XXXXXXX.log with a timestamp that corresponds to the failed restoration, and copy and paste any errors in that log here so we can dig deeper for you.

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks Mansoor,

Yes this definitely looks like a permissions issue in this case. You should contact your web host if possible and ask for help with the best way to proceed. Normally when you see this it means your System Administrator disabled write permissions on the root of your website, and only allows the user to write to the wp-content directory rather than the core WordPress files.

You’ll need to log into your cPanel and change your user permissions in order for the restoration to complete. I also found a guide on Changing File Permissions in cPanel
    that you might find useful.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out and thanks for using BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress!

I tried inspecting your website but I see it’s password protected. You should be able you get your content to display full width by using the Customizer to navigate to Design < Pages < Container and you will see a toggle for Contained or Full Width.

Select Full Width there and it should enable the functionality. The same toggle exists for Posts as well. Please let me know if that solves your problem.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for reaching out with your Crio Pro WordPress theme questions!

I definitely understand how it could be frustrating getting the exact look and feel you want for your website using the demo content.

I would necessarily suggest wiping your entire instance (Although the is an option), you could simply create new pages and post or revise the ones you already have and design them to your liking.

You can start with a blank page and use the page editor tools and pre generated blocks to build out the design you want.

You’ll have full control of the Crio customizer to change things like color palettes, global fonts, page headers/footers and content style. We have some guide I think could help get you there.

Using BoldGrid Post and Page Builder
    Working with heading font sizes
    Customizing Single Blog Post
    Customizing page layout in Crio

I hope this helps Frank, we’re always here to answer any design questions you may have.

in reply to: Does my staging site live on my own server or BoldGrids? #73888
    Brandon C

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for reaching out! Ownership of the server your staging site resides on depend on how it was actually created. If you created your staging environment using BoldGrid Cloud WordPress then it would reside on our server.

If the staging environment was created anywhere else, like your web host cPanel area for instance then you would own the server environment or a third party.

Our staging sites normally have URLs that start with something like https://demo2.cloudwp.dev/trial-. If you could link us to the URL of your staging area we can let you know if it’s ours or not.

    I hope this helps Jim!

    Hi Steve,

So sorry for the delay we must missed your ticket somehow. Can you try backing up the database only using the custom backup options then attempting to restore the database that way.

    Hi Pablo,

    Hi Nancy,

Thanks for reaching out and thanks for using Crio Pro WordPress theme!

Sorry to hear you’re having a bit of trouble but let’s see if we can help. If you’ve already set a Global Option in the WordPress/Crio Customizer to hide post titles you should check the individual page setting itself.

Click “edit page/post”, scroll down to the post attributes and make sure the option is set to “hide” there as well. Any page where this setting is active will ignore your global setting and show the post title so you may need to double check your pages and post.

I hope this helps Nancy! Please let us know if you have any other questions for us.

Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid CloudWP questions! I think maybe things were tied up in network traffic because I’m able to access the site on my end now. Can you try it on yours again if you haven’t already?

If you still have trouble try accessing the site in an incognito window or separate browser type as it could be a caching issue.

    Hi Bill,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with BoldGrid Post and Page Builder. I see that you have the twentynineteen activated right now. Post and Page Builder works best with Crio Pro WordPress theme and I think you would get the most out of your page builder by switching to Crio.

I see that you’re an InMotion Hosting customer! InMotion is our premium partner so you’ll have a premium BoldGrid license that will unlock all necessary functionality in both Crio and Post and Page Builder.

This guide should help you familiarize yourself with working with images in post and page builder. It will show you how to properly add your images and the different options you have.

    Hi Tia,

Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder questions!

In order to make this happen you need to add an #ID to the text element you want to link to by hovering over the element and selecting the orange toggle > Advanced Controls then scrolling down to the Custom CSS section.

    add id to element

After adding your ID select your image and click the link icon in page editor and add the #ID your just created for the text element. Be sure to add the “#”. In my case it would look like this “#on-scroll”.

I hope this helps Tia. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

    Hi Mike,

I think you may have a custom menu activated for the page itself and not a global item. In this case you would need to “Edit Page” and set the Page Header attribute in the page settings.

    Brandon C

    My apologies Tia,

Ah yes, I think I know what’s going on here. You have extra padding added to your element here so that it displays properly on larger screen sizes.

When you increase the padding it automatically squeezes the content together on smaller device sizes.

What you should do is use the responsive utilities in Post and Page Builder to create a new element by cloning your original column and customize the new column to fit mobile screen sizes.

After making your changes hide your original element on smaller screen sizes using the responsive utilities in the “Advanced Controls” of your column as shown in the guide and and hide the new content for larger devices.

I hope this better answers that for you Tia.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out. I think you’re experiencing these issues because you’re currently using the “Diced” theme which is considered one of our legacy themes and only receives core updates at this point so it is possible that some functions could be deprecated.

The entire Diced theme has been incorporated into our Crio Pro WordPress theme as a part of the “Inspirations” plugin package.

My recommendation is switching over from Diced to Crio, as Crio is 100% compatible with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder and the BoldGrid Theme Framework.

There may minor tweaks you need to make after switching over to Crio but we’re right here to help if you have any questions.

Hi Neil! Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder questions!

From what you’re referencing, I’m thinking you’re speaking of the Full Screen editing option that’s included with Post and Page Builder. If you need to come out of this mode your can click the “maximize/minimize screen” option towards the top right corner of the page builder.

full screen editing post and page builder.

Note that the right hand sidebar will appear based on screen size. On larger desktop screen sizes these same settings will be available below the content.

    Hi Mike,

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here in the forums and many thanks for using Crio Pro WordPress theme!

I inspected your website at the URL you linked in the thread and it looks like you may be using a custom crio menu to create your sidebar menu functionality.

It may be easier to pull in your menu links and content using one of the preset menu layouts available in the WordPress Customizer.

If you navigate from your WordPress Dashboard to Appearance > Customize > Design > Header > Site Header Layout > Select Layout.

This method will automatically pull in your main menu links as well as give you the option to switch your site title and tagline on and off.

I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any other questions for us!

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for reaching out with your Crio Pro WordPress theme and BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress questions!

No, worries I understand navigating the page builder can be a bit confusing at first. If you click “edit page” you can change the background image of a section by hovering over the section and using the “DropTab” to change the background for the upper section.

change background post and page builder

Using the “background” tab you’ll have control over background images, colors, animations and so on.

Something else to note, after updating content you’ll sometimes need to purge any cache associated with your website. What happens is, site elements are cached into the database for performance purposes, so after you make changes you always want to go back and clear all cache associated with your website after each update. This includes browser cache, server side cache, and plugin related cache.

One way you can verify that the changes have taken effect is to try pulling up your site in an incognito browser. The incognito or private browser will ignore most caches and generate the latest version of your website.

I hope this helps! Please reach back out to us if you have any other questions.

    Hello!

Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear you’re having some trouble with your Total Upkeep backup. From the looks of your error message it’s seems to be a MySQL error.

We’ll have to try replicating this in a dev environment to see if there’s anything on our end that needs patching. If so, we’ll have that updated in an upcoming release.

I’ll be sure to get back to you with our findings after testing the plugin. In the meantime you should be okay just deactivating MailPoet and running the backup.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks a lot for reaching out and thanks for using Crio Pro WordPress theme! I’m sorry to hear that you lost some content in your theme.

If you navigate to the “Pages” section of your WordPress Dashboard you’ll see a link for “trash” just above the page filter options. Any removed pages can be recovered from this area unless they’ve been permanently deleted.

I always suggest using our Total Upkeep backups and migrations plugin to take a backup of your website in the case an event like this occurs. Total Upkeep will store your backup on your server and your can restore it anytime directly through your WordPress Dashboard.

You may find this guide Getting Started With BoldGrid Crio useful in getting familiar with the super theme and Post and Page Builder.
