Thanks for your reply. The BoldGrid experience was not good for me so I took the live website down. As others have noted, the staged website is useless if you can’t move changes between the two with ease. So I continue to develope with MAMP locally. And again I run into trouble with the fact that the BoldGrid backup plugin doesn’t work with MAMP and the Duplicator plugin dosen’t work with InMotion and BoldGrid if your site is big.
Thanks KirbyG for trying to get to the bottom of this quagmire. I am off to less frustrating environments.
That’s great for the picture in the header, But it doesn’t do anything for the pictures in sections on pages, where there are far fewer choices. It seems like I have to alter my design to suit the theme. One thing that works really well is that Picture gallery. It serves up nice on the desktop and handheld devices.
Thanks J-P. It looks like you took my inquiry seriously and did some real investigating. I’ve had some luck in modifying my pages to get a better-looking result. This BoldGrid theme has been a real help in getting me up and running with a good look and without too much trouble. It is good for a person without coding skills, like me.
