Hello James,
Thank you for your feedback.
Can you please also enable the option “Front Page” in the Purge policy? Since the feed is on the right side I believe on the front page, and this is not selected for the auto-purge when the content is updated.
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
The “Never Cache following Pages” field is in the Performance>Page Cache>Advanced section of the W3 Total Cache plugin.
Once in the Performance>Page Cache, scroll down to advanced and there you can find the “Never Cache following Pages” option.
Can you please share if you are using the DB caching option in W3 Total Cache?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello James,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please share the W3 Total Cache settings screenshot of the Performance>Page Cache>Purge policy section?
Is the Feed Caching enabled in the Performance Page Cache?
Do you have any other caching solution like some other plugin or server-side caching? Thanks!

Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Felix,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
As you can see in the W3 Total Cache description of the User Agent groups, you can create a group of user agents by specifying names in the user agents field. Assign a set of user agents to use a specific theme, redirect them to another domain, or if an existing mobile plugin is active, create user agent groups to ensure that a unique cache is created for each user agent group. Drag and drop groups into order (if needed) to determine their priority (top -> down).
Checking the mentioned plugin I can see that not using redirections, and as they explained in their description:If you have a server cache plugin, be sure to set a different server cache handling for mobile devices, in other cases the mobile version of your pages could also be served on desktop devices.
E.g. W3 Total Cache is caching plugin that can handle the mobile cache. This being said, I cannot confirm that this will work because it has not been tested, so you can create Specific Content For Mobile and enable user agent groups using the theme currently active.
Alternatively, you can try using an AMP plugin for your website to serve AMP for mobile users.
I hope this helps!
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Peter,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve checked the W3 Total Cache subscriptions using the email address you provided. We do have a renewed subscription that took place on July 7th 2022.
The ” Renewal Reminder ” email was sent to the email address used to subscribe to W3 Total Cache Pro, one week prior to the renewal of the license on Jun 30, 2022, 12:12 AM EDT.
When the W3 Total Cache Pro was purchased and when you subscribed to the Pro version, you accepted the Terms&Conditions https://www.w3-edge.com/policies/ and agreed to a recurring subscription.
In that email, there was a link to your account in which you can cancel the renewal or check your subscription and your invoices.
You can always use your email address to check the subscription https://w3edge.recurly.com/account
As for the availability of support, we do have a support channel via the plugin in Performance>Support>Billing Support (Pro), or via the website contact form.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Ryan,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Please reach out to us directly via the W3 Total Cache support channel via the plugin in Performance>Support (you can choose any free option), or via the website contact form, and provide more details regarding your requests so I can advise which “do-it-for-me” premium support you should use.
If you have any additional questions I’ll be happy to answer.

Just to confirm, the “processing” is still there whether the W3TC Image service is enabled or not?
If so please drop us a note directly via the website contact form so we can check this.
Thanks!November 4, 2022 at 1:57 pm in reply to: Total Cache Image Service & Premium Support not working #66695Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Can you please disable the Image service in the Performance>Extensions, save all settings and purge the cache?
Once this is done, check your website. Re-enable the extension, and without converting all images at once, go to the Media library and try to cover the single image while checking the network tab if any of the ajax requests are throwing 404.Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterThank you for your feedback.
Again I was not able to replicate this with this plugin.
Are you using the paid version of the plugin with the advanced settings?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterThank you for your feedback.
Well, I’ve checked the website and all the files are gzipped.
can you please share what is the other method you are using for gzip? Also, share the files(pages) that are having the problem, so I can check that also.
I’ve added this plugin, added the page to Customize “No Access” Page and this page was not compressed with gzip or br.
Is this the plugin you are referring to?
Thanks!- This reply was modified 2 years, 1 month ago by Marko Vasiljevic.
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
I am sorry but I am simply not able to replicate the problem. I disabled the Gzip in the Browser Cache settings and the Gzip is no longer active, therefore W3TC does not have any impact on the compression.
Can you please let me know if the W3TC is currently enabled (I’ve checked the website and it does not seem to be active)
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve checked your website and I can see the Content-Encoding: gzip header, which means that even if the W3TC is disabled, something is setting the gzip compression on a server level or any other plugin that you may be using.
Check if the gzip compression is enabled on a server level with your host, and make sure that zlib.compression is disabled also.
Once again, something is setting gzip compression and it’s not related to the W3 Total Cache.
Thanks!November 2, 2022 at 12:29 pm in reply to: Total Cache Image Service & Premium Support not working #66071Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Christina
Thank you for your feedback.
None of the plugins listed suggest any conflict with the W3TC, however, the only way to test this for sure is to disable them one by one and see if any of them may be causing the problem.
Can you please try to convert a single image in the Media library, check the Network tab and see if there are any 404 ajax calls?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
So to clarify, When W3 Total Cache is active, regardless if any option in the plugin is active or all are disabled you are still experiencing the problem?
If this is the case, I am sorry but without knowing more about the server configuration and the website URL, I cannot share any specific instructions on how to Remedy this.
The reason for this is that if the W3TC is installed and active, and all the settings are disabled, it means that the W3TC does not have any impact on your website.
The W3TC uses the .htaccess in the root folder of the website. If the gzip compression is enabled for the HTML files for example you will have the following rules within the W3TC Browser cache rules block:<IfModule mod_deflate.c> AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/richtext text/plain text/xsd text/xsl text/xml <IfModule mod_mime.c> # DEFLATE by extension AddOutputFilter DEFLATE js css htm html xml </IfModule> </IfModule>
You can also see the content-encoding: gzip header.
Tanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Can you confirm that the problem persists if the W3TC is disabled?
Have you confirmed that once the gzip is disabled in Performance>Browser Cache, the .htaccess rules for mod_deflate are no longer there? Thanks!
October 31, 2022 at 1:11 pm in reply to: Total Cache Image Service & Premium Support not working #65663Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Christina,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Just a quick note, there is no Premium support menu in the W3TC options, there are additional Premium support options which are “Do it for me” solutions.
As for the issue you are experiencing, the continued processing and the fact that the Support page is empty is suggesting that some other plugin or server configuration is restricting API calls that the W3TC is using to fetch the Support form and to cover the images to webp.
Can you please check if you have any kind of security plugin or some custom .htaccess rules that may be interfering with the calls W3TC is trying to make?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
As I’ve mentioned before, I would suggest the Performance Audit.
And yes I would need the WP-admin access as well as the AWS console access.
We’ll of course provide the form for credentials submission. Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
The W3 Total Cache has the option for Gzip and you can find this option in Performance>Browser Cache, in the General box for all types of files or you can enable/disable it for individual files type.
If the Gzip compression is disabled, then the W3 Total cache does not compress any files.
You can check this by checking the .htaccess file for any mod_deflate-related W3TC rule.
Can you please share your settings and also share the URL so I can see if the files are indeed gzipped?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Hasmik,
Thank you for reaching out and thank you for your interest in the W3 Total Cahe.
Can you please drop us a note via the website contact form so we can continue the correspondence there and you can let us know what questions you have about the W3 Total Cache? Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback. I forgot to mention that the in-depth Audit of your website is Premium support. This is because this includes the Audit of all the plugins, servers, and impact of the 3rd party resources, and for that we need access.
So the optimization of your website may be out of any plugin’s hands and possibilities.
I hope this clarifies my reply.Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Duane,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please reach out directly via the W3 Total Cache plugin or the website contact form and provide information about your subscription so I can check this for you?

Can you please share more details and information on what kind of issues you were experiencing?
Can you please also share the WordPress forum topic?
Please share more information about the problem so we can help you and change any W3 Total Cache settings that may be possibly causing the problem. Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Saif,
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve removed the license key as this is a public forum, and as I can see the license key is not yet applied to your installation.
The configuration depends on a lot of things. The optimal W3 Total Cache configuration takes into account a number of factors: your theme, your plugins, and the technologies available on the server. Since everyone’s site and traffic and theme are different, there is no one size fits all solution.
We are going to perform tests on your website, and provide you with some tips and guidance on what you need to do or change in order to achieve the best performance for your website.
The Caching method selected for the Page Cache minify and DB Cache are good and recommended in most cases. For Object Caching and Database Cache, it’s not recommended to use Disk-based caching so I would advise either using memory-based caching like Memcached or Redis, or not using it at all.Object Cache allows getting data from the database more efficiently. Its purpose is similar to what Database Cache does. But compared to Database Cache, Object cache is more efficient as it allows the process of fewer requests.
As a rule of thumb, Object Cache is not worth using on shared hosting for the same reason as Database Cache, i.e. database is often not the performance bottleneck, but disk input-output operations.
However, like Database Cache, it can be beneficial to use if you are on VPS or a dedicated server, get a lot of traffic, and have a lot of comments. Also, if you know that database is the bottleneck of your website performance, then Object Cache (like Database Cache) is beneficial to use. But in this case, it’s recommended to use Opcode, Memcached, or Redis options as mentioned previously.FSD CDN is great but sometimes not necessary. It depends on how good is your server and whether you are serving the website for local or worldwide users.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out.
Can you please state your question in English language and let us know if this is related to the W3 Total Cache plugin or your website hosting? Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Bill,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
This is related to the W3 Total Cache, however, it’s also related to your server resources need for the W3 Total Cache to do its job.
The Error means that the PHP memory is exhausted and reached the limit of 40MB in your case, and what you need to do is to increase the memory limit.
Its recommended using 128MB or 256 MB
You can find out more on how to achieve this in this article, and if you are unsure about this, please make sure to reach out to your hosting provider.Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Jorge,
I’ve resent all the information via the W3 Total Cache support channel and there you will receive the license key and the information on how to activate W3 Total Cache Pro.
Let me know if you received the necessary information.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Ani,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
There is no difference between the Free and Pro versions of the W3 Total Cache when it comes to setting expires header or cache control header.
To do this, you need to enable Browser Cache in the Performance>General settings and save all settings Then go to Performance>Browser Cache and you can enable “Set Expires header” and “Cache-control header” in the General area or for individual files like HTML&XML, JS&CSS and Media&Other files
Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Peter,
Thank you for reaching out.
On the support end, it’s better to have the topic opened for this so we can possibly check the website and have more details about the environment.
The comment section is not the best place to provide support.
Auto-convert will work once enabled in the Images service settings. You can check this by uploading a few new images. In the Media Library, you will see if the images were reconverted.
It seems that there was some connectivity problem between your server and the W3TC API at some point, or the conversion server was overloaded with the number of requests.
If convenient, can you share the URL of the website?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello John,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
W3 Total Cache Pro unlocks the additional features in W3 Total Cache settings, which can improve the speed and performance of the website, depending on what the website needs in terms of improving the performance.
One thing that I can suggest is to purchase our premium support option in Performance>Support – Performance Audit.
The optimal W3 Total Cache configuration takes into account a number of factors: your theme, your plugins, and the technologies available on the server. Since everyone’s site and traffic and theme is different, there is no one size fits all solution.
This service also takes into account the idiosyncrasies of Web Performance Optimization (WPO) in a WordPress context. This means that WPO best practices have to be modified for WordPress because of how the application operates. The number of counter-intuitive realities could fill a small book. This means that the best configuration for your site might not involve enabling minify, database caching, and other things that you might expect. As a matter of fact, it can actually hurt performance by implementing features for the wrong situation.
The deliverable with this service is a faster site. It’s impossible to predict the extent to which our work will improve performance (especially true for code we didn’t write running on servers we didn’t build), but our promise is that we’ll do our best.
Additionally, we’ll send along a performance report that outlines the improvements, recommendations (if any), and what else we can do to help you reach and exceed your performance goals. There are many ways that we can help improve performance, you should think of W3 Total Cache configuration as the starting point for optimizing your site.
Upgrading to W3 Total Cache Pro makes this work even more effective, as we’ll have additional features to utilize in delivering the best possible results. It’s best to upgrade before placing your order since we can do this for you, and you can upgrade right in the Dashboard on any W3 Total Cache page.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Jody,
Thank you for reaching out again.
W3 Total Cache is the caching plugin. W3 Total Cache(W3TC) improves the SEO, Core Web Vitals, and overall user experience of your site by increasing website performance and reducing load times by leveraging features like content delivery network (CDN) integration and the latest best practices.W3TC is the only web host agnostic Web Performance Optimization (WPO) framework for WordPress trusted by millions of publishers, web developers, and web hosts worldwide for more than a decade. It is the total performance solution for optimizing WordPress Websites.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please share more information on how W3 Total Cache settings do not affect your website and what settings are enabled In the General settings?
As I can see you have a lot of customers (or some other plugin) CSP headers and I can see that the Lazyloading is working as expected. Thanks!
September 27, 2022 at 10:12 am in reply to: Pre-purchase question regarding caching for different user roles #59299Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Louise.
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
With W3 Total Cache you can preload the cache, of course, however, it cannot be done for specific user roles.
The reason for this is that the Preload is based on the sitemap URL, which you need to add to the Cache Preload section in Peformance>Page Cache.
In any case, it’s not recommended to cache pages for logged-in users to avoid sharing any private and sensitive information which may be cached.
Once the website is preloaded with W3 Total Cache Cache Preload, those can be served for logged-in users also, however, it’s best to exclude specific pages from the cache like /account/, /checkout/, /cart/
The prices should be dynamic and firing with ajax, so those should not be cached if this is the case.Once again, it’s not recommended to cache pages for logged-in users, and I hope I explained the reason for this.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Jonathan,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
W3 Total Cache supports the usage of Redis as a memory-based option. So yes Redis is naturally supported.
In order to use Redis in W3 Total Cache, and since W3TC only recognizes the PHP modules, you need to install PHP Redis module
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
September 26, 2022 at 10:34 am in reply to: Failed to retrieve a response. Please reload the page to try again. #59187Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve checked your website and as I can see all the Images coming from your server are converted by W3 Total Cache and served as webp, all other images coming from the external server https://ae01.alicdn.com/ are not converted since W3TC cannot handle those images as they are not on your server.
“Failed to retrieve a response. Please reload the page to try again.” this may happen on some occasions, and this depends on how many requests is the API server handling at the moment. The ajax requests you are trying every 10 sec or so and yes, this may cause the server resources to hit the limit on occasion.
Please also note that the Pro users have the advantage when it comes to image conversion, and those requests are favored by the Server.
I hope this helps!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Bob,
I am sorry about any confusion with your subscription and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve checked the W3TC support channel and there are no emails of this kind sent from you. Can you reach out to us directly via the website contact form, and provide information about your subscription so I can check the status?
Please share the latest invoice, license key or the email used to subscribe to W3 Total Cache Pro so I can check the subscription.
I’ve removed the sensitive data from your topic because this is a public forum. Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Daryl,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
As I can see that the images are converted:
https://www.britishcolumbia.ca/wp-content/uploads/Community-Vancouver-iS471390003-TIBC-e1643405558903.webp
https://www.britishcolumbia.ca/wp-content/uploads/tibc-website-hmpagemap-830x450px-newblue.webpWhen you find that your original image has been converted to WebP, but other image sizes are missing WebP versions, you may need to double-check that your WordPress environment supports the WebP format.
While the original image is converted via our API service, the different sizes (e.g. Large, Medium, Thumbnail) are created by your own server. For this, you must have WordPress 5.8 and the appropriate libGD or ImageMagick package available on your server.
To check if your WordPress environment supports WebP, navigate to Site Health > Info > Media Handling and double-check that WebP is listed in the supported file formats for the library shown in the Active editor. If you find these are missing the WebP extension, consult your system administrator to set up the correct packages.
Please make sure to check this and let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
