Hello Mel,
You should purge the cache every time the content of your website is changed.
So for example, if you add any new blog post or a new page, you should purge the cache. In the tests I’ve shared with you, the blocking time is 0ms which means that there is no need for eliminating any render-blocking resources.
The first and the second minify questions are related. W3 Total Cache does not optimize any external files like Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics. so there is no need to exclude any files as those are 3rd party files that are loading on your website from external servers.
I hope this helps!
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHey Mel,
You are most welcome!
Thanks!
June 16, 2023 at 9:30 am in reply to: I cannot delete your plugin because it will crash my website #92604Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Andy,
As I’ve replied in the previous post, I’ve checked your website and I am not seeing any traces of the W3 Total Cache. You mentioned in your initial message that you cannot remove WP Fastest Cache which is different than W3 Total Cache.
We have not received any email from you, so please reach out directly via the plugin in Performance>Support so we can confirm the issue is related to the W3 Total Cache.
You have multiple layers of caching including Cloudflare, Server-side caching and something called tenweb-speed-optimizerThe W3 Total Cache is the most used and most complete caching solution and it’s not malware by any means.
Please reach out directly to us so we can confirm the problem and remove the plugin for you if the plugin is indeed W3 Total Cache.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Ryan,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
The fact that the issue occurs sporadically and not to all users suggests that the problem is not specifically related to the W3 Total Cache. I’ve tested this on your website and I have not experienced an issue as you described.
Can you please temporarily disable W3 Total Cache and let me know if the problem keeps persisting?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for your feedback.
Yes, or in the General settings. If you try to change the settings and leave the page without saving the settings, you will be notified that the settings were changed and if you leave without saving, the settings will not be saved.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for reaching out.
The optimal W3 Total Cache configuration takes into account several factors: your theme, your plugins, and the technologies available on the server. Since everyone’s site and traffic and theme are different, there is no one size fits all solution.
The mentioned guide is good, however, it all depends on your website.
All the settings related to the performance of your website are good. I’ve made the tests (check the screenshots) and in the report, there are no render-blocking files (total blocking time is 0ms), and the score is PERFECT! There are no console errors and there are no problems in the functionality of your website.
The Minify settings are spot on for your website.
Since the other topic is duplicate, I’ll remove it and you can ask any additional questions in this thread if you have any.
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to answer your question.
The Setup guide was created to help novice users get introduced to the W3 Total Cache basic setup. It’s not necessary to complete the Setup Guide wizard. You can run the Setup guide anytime, and if any of the settings are already enabled, the Setup guide will not revert anything to default.
You should avoid using Object Cache if the only available caching method on your server is Disk, so it’s recommended to use Redis or Memcached in this case. However, your website does not need OC as it runs very fast and it’s not object dependent.
You can use save all settings to save the settings you made in the general settings or individual modules. So if you are changing more than one setting, you can save the settings and go to another module and after that purge the cache. The cache needs to be purged in order for the changes to reflect on the website, so use Save All settings & Purge the cache once you wish to finish changing the settings and check the website.
Thanks!

Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHey Mel,
You are most welcome!
We would really appreciate it if you could take a minute and post a review here. This will help us to continue offering a top-notch product to users.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve checked the screenshot you shared and you added the path to the file to “Never minify the following pages:” instead of “Never minify the following JS files:”.
You should add it to the field below, save all settings and purge the cache.
Please check the screenshot below:
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
This possibly means that you already have lazyloading enabled by some other plugin or theme.
I am glad the issue is resolved.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for your feedback.
First of all, this is just a warning and it does not impact the performance of your website. Nothing to worry about. Next, I do see the warning in the console, so there is a chance that either you did not the proper path to the file: /wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/pub/js/lazyload.min.js or you have not added it to the correct place so please share the Performance>Minify>Advanced>” Never minify the following JS files:”
Please make sure that you saved all settings and purged the cache once the path was added and please share the screenshot of the Performance>Minify page.
I am not sure where you are performing the tests, however, in Google Page speed the score is amazing
https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-www-hundetraining-mit-roya-at/yo7y7ut19g?hl=en&form_factor=desktopI am also seeing no report related to the image you are mentioning impacting the performance.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for reaching out!
The W3 Total Cache has the gzip option in Performance>Browser Cache. Once enabled, W3TC adds the necessary rules to the .htaccess file.
I’ve checked your website and all your files are gzipped so there is no need to add the mentioned rule.
As for the Gzip compression, you are all set and your website files are gzip compressed. Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please try to disable the settings one by one in W3 Total Cache Performance>general settings, save the settings and purge the cache after each setting is disabled and see which one might be causing the issue?
Please start with the Lazyloading option, save all settings, and purge the cache.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello everyone.
Thank you all for your feedback.
It’s much appreciated. I am in talks with the devs and I’ll get back to you as soon as I have a proper answer.
Thank you for your patience.Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
I’ve checked your website and the Lazyload is working just fine. If you check the images they have class=”gb-image gb-image-9c061411 lazy loaded” so Lazyload is working as it should. This warning is triggered due to the fact that the file was also minified.
I can see that you also have the minify enabled.
Can you please try adding the following to W3 Total Cache Performance>Minify>Advanced>”Never minify the following JS files:”
/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/pub/js/lazyload.min.js
Save all settings and purge the cache and see if the problem persists.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Tomas,
Thank you for reaching out.
I’ve replied to the email via the W3 Total Cache support channel and I can confirm that the issue is now resolved.
Thank you again for your patience.Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Mel,
Thank you for reaching out. I’ve replied to your question related to the W3 Total Cache compatibility check in the wp.org forums. Check: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/compatibility-check-12/
Please continue any further correspondence there so we can avoid duplicating the answers.

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve checked your website and I am not seeing any traces of the W3 Total Cache plugin there. You are stating that you cannot remove Wp Fastest Cache so I have to ask if you are referring to your plugin or some other caching solution because Wp Fastest Cache and W3 Total Cache are not the same thing. Thanks!

Can you please share if you are using any security plugin or any plugin that may alter the naming of the folder structure?
This may prevent W3 Total Cache from getting the correct path.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Jeff,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
The error seems to come frompublic function delete( $plugin, $network_deactivating )
in the wpforms plugin.
Does this occur only when you are trying to activate W3 Total Cache?
Have you tried disabling the other plugin before enabling the W3TC and is the dev site the same as the Prod environment?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Fernando,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
If you are referring to the W3 Total Cache Pro license, it’s a yearly subscription and it’s not being charged monthly.
Please reach out directly to us via the website contact form and provide the information about your subscription so I can check this for you.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Still testing the behavior, I’ll get bac to you once I have more information.

Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Let me check this and I’ll get back to you.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
You do not have to verify the license. Just re-save the settings in the total cache while the license is added and after adding the provided constant to wp-config.php
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Jonathan,
Thank you for reaching out.
We are aware of this and we have tickets opened for these in our GH repo as you already know.https://github.com/BoldGrid/w3-total-cache/issues/583
https://github.com/BoldGrid/w3-total-cache/issues/513I’ve added your comments there and also notified the team, and this will hopefully be added in the May/June release.
PLease make sure to add any commends or suggestions in the tickets mentioned, which I can see you already did.
Thank you again for reaching out and for bringing this to our attention, and thank you for your patience!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Robin,

You can activate a W3 Total Cache Pro on a dev website. Just adddefine('W3TC_PRO_DEV_MODE', true);
to your wp-config.php file on your non-production environments, and re-save the license there.I hope this helps!
Thanks!

Can you please disable minify in W3 Total Cache Perfirmance>General settings, save all settings and purge the cache and see if the issue persists?
If the issue is gone, re-enable minify, and disable the settings in Performance>minify one by one (HTML minify, JS minify, CSS minify) and see which one might be causing the issue.
Make sure to save all settings and purge the cache after each option is disabled.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
When you inspect the source and check the developer tools at the bottom of the page there should be a W3TC HTML snippet:
<!-- Performance optimized by W3 Total Cache. Learn more: https://www.boldgrid.com/w3-total-cache/
Can you please let me know if you can see this and also let me know the website URL?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
This was created a long time ago, and now the access for this is restricted using API.
We’ll be checking this and making changes to this option.
Thank you for bringing this to our attentionMarko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help.
Please note that the W3 Total Cache is a yearly subscription and bon monthly, so the price of 8.25 per month is for 12 months in total.
W3 Total Cache Pro licenses are valid on a per-install basis, meaning you need one for every WordPress instance you run. If you have three separate websites, you will need three licenses in total—one for each site. If you have five sites in a WordPress multisite instance, you need just one license for all five sites. If you are interested in bulk licensing, please email us for more information.
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Israel,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
The ‘Enable database cluster’ option won’t appear on single-blog setups (bug). However, we are working on a fix for this, and this will be added in the future W3 Total Cache releases.
You can find the example of the file in ini/dbcluster-config-sample.phponce edited and placed to /wp-content/db-cluster-config.php – it starts to work regardless of the checkbox. there should be DB cluster word in footer comment
I hope this helps!
Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
There is no link to download the Pro version of the W3 Total Cache plugin and the license key, should be added to the existing W3 Total Cache installation
Enter the license key in Performance>General settings, Licensing sub-box, license field, verify the license with the “verify license button” and save all settings.W3 Total Cache Pro should be active after these steps!
Thanks!
Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please share which Cloudflare plan you are using to connect with the W3 Total Cache, and have you set any custom rules in WAF settings – Cloudflare dashboard?
Thanks!Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Nicolas,
I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help.
Please completely remove and re-install W3 Total Cache
To completely remove W3TC:
1. Purge Cache
2. Deactivate and Delete Plugin
3. Check the .htaccess File (make a backup)
W3TC will create many directives in the .htaccess file to control the caching behavior. Each section will start and end with comments like “#BEGIN W3TC Page Cache core” and “#END W3TC Page Cache core”.
Ensure that no residual entries are left over in your .htaccess file after deleting the plugin.
4. Delete wp-content files and folders
– cache folder
– w3tc-config folder
– object-cache.php (if exists)
– advanced-cache.php (if exists)
– db.php (if exists)
– upgrade folder
– delete a w3-total-cache folder in wp-content/plugins/ (if exists)
5. Delete Cached Files from CDN (if using CDN)
Besides deleting all the relevant files, if you use CDN then ensure to purge the cached content from your CDN. This is necessary when you enabled minify option in W3TC settings. You should delete the minified and combined scripts and CSS files from your CDN server to avoid the site breaking on the browser.
6. Go to your wp dashboard and re-install W3 Total CacheLet me know if this helps!
Thanks!
