Week in Review — WordCamp Montreal
Blog, WordCamps
He arrived very early on the morning of the camp: around 1 AM. A road warrior like Mike requires very little sleep, after all. A quick power nap, then he was ready to speed off to the John Molson School of Business — Concordia University to set up our booth.
Although we had the ever-popular Tide® pens, Mike’s Banshee friend “Boldie” couldn’t make this event. He couldn’t find his passport, so he had to stay home. Fortunately, the clutch of Banshee eggs here at BoldGrid HQ have already started hatching, so expect to see more of Boldie and his friends at our future booths (especially WordCamp Denver, our next event).
Even without Boldie, we had a great day full of a unique conversations. Our booth provided us a great strategic location, and we distributed detergent pens (and knowledge) to a steady stream of interested visitors. We set a goal this year to attend events where people might not yet have heard of BoldGrid. That was exactly what we encountered at this camp. That might sound like a bad thing, but we really do love the opportunity to share the benefits of BoldGrid with audiences that have yet to experience it for themselves.
After a terrific day, we capped the night with a fun after party at a local pub.Enjoying good conversation at #wcmtl #WordPress #wordcamp pic.twitter.com/nrm4CvCyxR

Sunday brought more of the same, with scores of new people to teach about BoldGrid, and a great lunch from Pizza Pizza. Mike was a happy camper when he discovered that Pizza Pizza also offered Vegan options.

Alas, all good things must come to an end, but our team had a blast in this amazing and diverse city. As always, we love to connect with people through the love of WordPress, and especially so at a truly dual language event like this.
