why is color different in customize page and home page in pages tab
I used the customize page and changed the colors on the front page. Then when I go to the pages and click on the home page and all pages, the color is different from what it is in the customize page. Why is that? Is there something I need to do to make it apply to all pages?
remove italics from uptempo headings
On the Uptempo Theme all the heading tags are in italics but I want them to be normal. Can this be changed on the style?
Hello and thanks for contacting us. Depending on the section, you can do so from the Customize section by pressing the Edit button and removing the italic from the text.
The section background image options have disappeared.
I noticed today that one of the images for my section background was gone. I attempted to change it and all the options are gone as well. Other background images on my site are still showing, but if you try to load the options to change it they aren't available. All that shows are multiple white boxes, with a checkmark over the one that is used or supposed to be showing.
Remove big black border
I have the vacation theme. There is a big thick black border under the menu on each page. How do I remove it?
The black border is a div with the background-pattern class. It looks like there is an inline rule on the element with display: hidden !important. Hidden is not a valid option for the display rule. You would need to change hidden to none and that will hide it. You can use the following code for this:
div.background-pattern {
display: none !important;
}
This needs to be placed in the Customizer >Advanced > Custom JS & CSS. Add the code to the Custom Theme CSS section.

Thanks for the question about "sleeping" your website. If you are using BoldGrid, then your website is using WordPress. If you really want to make your site non-accessible, then I would advise on using a "maintenance mode" plugin. You can find an explanation and examples of these plugins here. If you are trying to retain the domain name or any search rankings, I would not recommend taking the site offline. You should use information from statistics programs to determine how people are visiting the website. If you see that you're not getting people visiting your website, then it may require some advertising to let people know of its availability. Additionally, you may want to speak with a web developer/online marketing specialist if the problem is more of content or getting people engaged with your site.

Boldgrid Backup not working
Hi,
I own both designwow.co.uk and ovon.io. I want to move my site, designwow to ovon and the Ovon host. To do this I followed the migration settings exactly, set up Wordpress on both sites, downloaded the backup from designwow, uploaded it into the ovon site using ftp and it's sitting there registered as a backup.
Then I click restore...and nothing happens. It just says 'your site has been restored'. My old pages don't reappear, the menus don't change, nothing has migrated.

I'm sorry to see that you are experiencing issues with BoldGrid Backup Plugin and the restoration of your website on one domain and host to another domain and host. I recommend enabling debugging in WordPress as a first step to diagnosing the issue. While debugging is temporarily enabled, you can replicate the restore and take note of any errors that display.
I suspect since you are moving the website from one host to another, the server (specifically PHP) settings may not be the exact same. The errors that are reported when debugging is temporarily enabled should shed some light on where you can continue to troubleshoot the issue or tweaks to PHP settings you may need.
